Terms of use for Skín og Bón ehf.

These terms of use (“terms”) apply to all use of the services of Skín og Bón ehf., Kt; 660225‑1020, Dalshraun 8, 220 Hafnarfjörður (“the company”, “we”, “us”), including:

•            visits to our service stations

•            use of the website

•            use of the app

•            purchase of services and subscriptions

•            use of automatic license plate recognition and camera surveillance

By using our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Service

Skín og Bón ehf., ID no. 660225‑1020, owns and operates car wash stations and related services.

We reserve the right to change services, opening hours, pricing, or access to services without notice.

2. Use of the App and Electronic Services

The Skín og Bón app allows users to:

•            purchase services

•            view wash status

•            receive notifications

•            view transaction history

•            link license plates to services

Users are responsible for:

•            providing accurate information

•            safeguarding passwords and account security

•            updating information as needed

We may suspend or restrict access if misuse is suspected.

3. Payments and Subscriptions

Payments in the app are processed through a secure payment gateway.

We do not store payment card information.

If subscription services are offered, the following applies:

•            subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled

•            cancellation takes effect at the next billing period

•            no refunds are provided for unused time unless required by law

•            fair use policy is applied, all subscriptions include 10 washes per moth

4. License Plate Recognition and Automated Services

Skín og Bón service stations use license plate recognition equipment (ANPR) to:

•            identify vehicles

•            activate services purchased in the app

•            record arrival and departure

•            ensure proper use of services

By using the service, you consent to this processing.

5. Camera Monitoring

The area is monitored by cameras for security purposes.

Recordings may show:

•            vehicles

•            license plates

•            individuals on the premises

Recordings are stored for a limited time and used only for security and operational purposes.

6. Liability and Limitation of Liability

Skín og Bón ehf. is not liable for:

•            damage resulting from incorrect information provided by the user

•            damage caused by equipment failures, network issues, or service providers

•            damage resulting from improper use of services or equipment

We are responsible for our services in accordance with Icelandic law.

7. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service if:

•            a vehicle is in a condition that could cause damage

•            customer behavior is unacceptable

•            misuse or fraud is suspected

8. Privacy

Processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with:

•            Act No. 90/2018 on Data Protection and the Processing of Personal Data

•            the Skín og Bón ehf. privacy policy

The privacy policy forms part of these terms.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Skín og Bón website and app, including:

•            text

•            images

•            graphics

•            trademarks

•            software

is the property of Skín og Bón ehf. and may not be copied or distributed without written permission.

10. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time.

Changes take effect upon publication on the website or in the app.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Icelandic law.

Disputes shall be settled before the District Court of Reykjanes.
